Trisha is a Veterinary Technician and has worked in veterinary care for 14 years. She has always had pets growing up, and working in a field where she can help animals every day confirmed that this is what she was meant to do. Trisha enjoys the rewarding feeling at the end of the day that comes from helping a pet, whether through preventative care or more advanced treatment. She is especially interested in surgery, loves educating owners about all aspects of pet care, and appreciates that every day brings new opportunities to learn and grow.
At home, Trisha has a three-year-old Italian Greyhound named Carver and a four-year-old Maine Coon mix named Piper. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors playing sports and being with her friends and family. Trisha loves being part of the CCPH team because of the strong sense of teamwork and how everyone steps up to support one another.

Titus is a Kennel Technician at CCPH and has worked in veterinary care for 19 months. He has always loved animals of all shapes and sizes, and working in this field feels second nature to him. Titus especially enjoys giving the dogs baths and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. He is interested in all aspects of veterinary care and is eager to learn more about surgery.
At home, Titus has three English Bulldogs, Matilda, Mia, and Moses who keeps him busy. Outside of work, he enjoys studying philosophy, going to the movies, and working out. His favorite thing about being part of the CCPH team is building relationships with the dogs he sees every day.

Dylainee is a Kennel Technician at CCPH and has been part of the team for almost two years. She has worked in animal care for four years and has loved animals her entire life. Her dream is to one day become a veterinarian. One of Dylainee’s favorite parts of her job is spending time with the cats and dogs, making sure they’re loved and well cared for. She also enjoys bringing her own dog to dayplay and watching him interact with the other dogs. Dylainee hopes to continue learning more about surgery as she grows in her career.
At home, Dylainee has a dog named Goose and six cats named Macaroni, Jelly, Poppy, Reuben, Noodle, and Boots. Outside of work, she dedicates much of her time to fostering cats and has been doing so for around four years. Her favorite thing about being part of the CCPH team is spending time with amazing animals and working alongside such friendly coworkers.

Gillian is a Kennel Technician at CCPH and has worked in animal care for a year and a half. Although she has never had a dog of her own, her job allows her to build close connections with many different dogs. She enjoys spending time with each animal and providing them with care and attention.
Gillian is most interested in surgery and hopes to continue learning more about that area of veterinary medicine. At home, she has two cats, Beyoncé and Cole. A fun fact about Gillian is that she is the captain of the Olathe Girls Lacrosse team and has played piano for 14 years. Her favorite part of working at CCPH is spending time with her coworkers and being surrounded by animals every day.

Addison is a Kennel Technician and has worked in animal care for three years. She has a passion for helping animals live happy and healthy lives. Addison is currently enrolled in an Animal Health Program, where she continues to expand her knowledge of animal care and treatment. She enjoys spending time with each dog and getting to know their unique personalities.
Addison is especially interested in surgery, as she loves learning about the medical and biological aspects of veterinary care. At home, she lives with her dog Nala and her soul dog Petals. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her pets and continuing to learn about animal health. Her favorite part about working at CCPH is her coworkers and the special bonds she forms with the pets in her care.

Maylie is a Kennel Technician and has worked in animal care for about five years. Her love for animals and desire to help save someone’s best friend one day inspired her to pursue this field. Maylie is OSHA and Elanco certified. She enjoys caring for all of the dogs alongside her coworkers each day. She is most interested in surgery and rehabilitation.
At home, she has a Chocolate Lab named Kona, a Corgi mix named Winnie, and a Russell Terrier named Roxy. A fun fact about Maylie is that she used to play volleyball and loves to pet sit in her free time. Her favorite thing about working at CCPH is the strong bonds she has formed with her coworkers.

Michael has been a Kennel Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital for a year and a half. He loves working with dogs because of their sweet nature and fun personalities. Michael enjoys spending one-on-one time with the dogs and giving them extra attention whenever he can.
At home, Michael has an eight-year-old rescue dog who is very calm but still loves to play. Outside of work, he spends his time learning to play the guitar. His favorite thing about being part of the CCPH team is learning how to care for dogs with anxious temperaments or those recovering from injuries. He also values how much he has learned in his role and enjoys applying that knowledge in his everyday life.

Tatum is a Kennel Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in animal care for one year. She has always been inspired to work with animals and feels most fulfilled when she is around them. Tatum holds two degrees, a Bachelor’s in Education and a Master’s in Library Science and Information.
She loves being around animals every day and making sure they are happy and healthy. Tatum is especially interested in client education and animal behavior and enjoys continuing to learn more about both.
At home, Tatum has an eleven-year-old chocolate Lab named Chloe who is blind, a ten-year-old golden retriever named Stella, and an eight-month-old English Setter named Sage. Outside of work, she enjoys playing the piano, reading, and crocheting. Her favorite thing about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is how welcoming everyone is, along with all the sweet animals and their unique personalities.

Kennedy is a Kennel Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in animal care for four years. She was inspired to enter the field because of her lifelong passion for animals and her desire to make a positive difference in their lives.
Kennedy enjoys caring for each pet and meeting their individual needs. At home, she has a ten-year-old Miniature Schnauzer named Wrigley who loves to cuddle and go on walks. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and going for runs. Her favorite thing about her job is the experience and knowledge she gains each day while working with the animals.

Daniel is a Kennel Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in animal care for about one year. He has always loved animals and enjoys caring for them each day. Daniel especially likes getting to know the different personalities and behaviors of the dogs he works with.
He is most interested in veterinary surgery and hopes to continue learning more about it as he grows in the field. At home, Daniel has two Poodles, Rudy and Bonzo, who keep him busy and entertained. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and watching football. His favorite thing about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is being part of a great team and getting to work with dogs of all different temperaments and breeds.

Sydney is a Kennel Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in animal care for one year. She was inspired to work with animals because of the joy and comfort they bring to people’s lives, and she loves being part of that special connection.
Sydney enjoys learning about each dog’s unique behavior and giving them the love and care they deserve. She has a strong interest in animal behavior and surgery and is always eager to learn more about both.
At home, Sydney lives with her Akita named Oak, a bunny named Bunny, and a gecko named Eeyore. Her favorite thing about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is spending time with the animals and helping them feel safe, happy, and loved.

Bry is a Kennel Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has been part of the team for four years. Her love for animals and passion for comforting and caring for them inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary care. She enjoys spending time with all of the pets that come through the clinic and loves the opportunity to try something new or challenging every day.
Bry is interested in learning how to groom dogs and hopes to develop that skill in the future. At home, she lives with her cat Callie, who loves to play and curl up on her lap. Outside of work, Bry enjoys spending time with her friends and family, watching TV, working out, and playing games. Her favorite thing about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is the supportive team environment and getting to spend time with every animal she encounters.

Bella is a Kennel Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has been a valued member of the team for about five years. Her passion for working with animals began early, as she grew up around horses and later started volunteering at CCPH in 2019, where she quickly fell in love with the field.
She enjoys spending time with all the different pets and appreciates the strong friendships she has built with her coworkers. Bella is especially interested in observing and understanding dog behavior during their day play sessions.
At home, Bella has a four-year-old cat named Fiona. Outside of work, she enjoys watching YouTube, playing video games, and has a keen interest in cars, planes, and horses. Her favorite part about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is her amazing coworkers and getting to see the pets she has formed special bonds with.

Grace is a Kennel Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in animal care for three years. She has always had a deep love for dogs and a natural connection with them, which inspired her to build a career doing what she loves.
Grace is certified in obedience training and is currently learning how to groom. She enjoys comforting pets while their owners are away and making their stay as enjoyable as possible.
At home, Grace has three dogs named Katara, Opal, and Ruby. Outside of work, she loves to spend her time reading. Her favorite part about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is, of course, the dogs.

Makenzie joined our team in 2025 and is new to the field of veterinary medicine, but she is no stranger to caring for animals. It has always been a passion that fulfills her. Inspired by her own cat’s cancer diagnosis, Makenzie felt called to join our clinic to provide care and reassurance to other pet owners going through similar experiences. She especially enjoys building strong relationships with both clients and their pets.
At home, Makenzie’s world revolves around her beloved pets: her tripod dog, Tripp, and four cats named Zeppelin, Eleven, Stella, and OJ. Outside of work, she enjoys attending concerts and nurturing her collection of houseplants. Makenzie loves being part of our team because of the kindness and friendliness of her coworkers.

Darcy joined our clinic as a Veterinary Receptionist in 2025 and brings over three years of experience in the veterinary field. She has always had a passion for animals and would happily own every pet she could. In her role, Darcy especially enjoys connecting with clients and their pets, as well as observing surgeries and learning about different medications and their uses.
At home, she lives with a lovable but stubborn English Bulldog named Reba. Outside of work, Darcy enjoys karaoke, crafting, and tackling crossword puzzles. She loves being part of CCPH because of her supportive coworkers and the opportunity to learn something new every day.

Julia is a Receptionist at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in animal care for over ten years. Her love for animals began when she was young, spending time at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead where she was always drawn to the ducks and pigs. Julia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary focus.
She loves seeing the bonds between owners and their pets and enjoys watching how they interact with each other. Julia has a strong interest in animal nutrition and how it can influence both behavior and overall health.
At home, Julia shares her life with her dogs Bandit, Buster, and Bing. Bing holds a special place in her heart as he was the sorority house dog during her time as a Gamma Phi. Outside of work, Julia enjoys crafting and creating things with her hands. Her favorite part about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is the kindness of the staff and the wonderful pets she gets to meet every day.

Audrey is a Veterinary Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in animal care for one year. She grew up on a farm surrounded by animals but without a veterinarian nearby, which meant she and her mom often had to learn how to care for their animals on their own. That experience inspired her dream of becoming a small animal veterinarian serving a rural community.
Audrey is certified as an Animal Care Technician through the United States Army, where she gained valuable experience in lifesaving procedures, emergency and triage care, and combat care for military working dogs in the field. She loves working with patients who cannot tell you what is wrong and admires their resilience and positivity no matter their condition. Her professional interests include surgery and animal behavior.
At home, Audrey has two cats—Dante, an affectionate American Shorthair, and Daisy, an American Longhair who confidently runs the household. Outside of work, Audrey enjoys ballroom dancing and has learned more than fourteen different dance styles. Her favorite thing about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is her coworkers, who are always ready to learn, teach, and support one another.

Valerie is a Veterinary Assistant at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in veterinary medicine for ten years. Growing up on a farm, caring for animals has always come naturally to her. She began her career in veterinary medicine as a receptionist but quickly realized that being hands-on with the animals was a better fit for her.
Valerie has been AAHA certified in hospital trainings, has experience preparing health certificates and Coggins tests, and is trained in using Idexx and Antech laboratory equipment. She enjoys caring for hospitalized patients and seeing them recover and go home, as well as providing one-on-one attention to surgery patients. Her interests include surgery and client education.
At home, Valerie shares her life with her pups Coach, Molly, Cheddar, and Ivy. Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, playing golf, and making people laugh. Valerie loves the teamwork and the family atmosphere at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and says that working here reminds her why she chose this career.

Camila is a Veterinary Assistant at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in veterinary medicine for six years. Her passion for animal care was inspired by her parents’ love and compassion for stray animals, as well as her own heart dog who deepened her connection to the field.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Agriculture Industry with a Pre-Veterinary focus from Kansas State University. Camila loves building strong relationships between owners and their pets, helping patients feel better, and advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves. Her interests include surgery, wildlife, rescue and rehabilitation, and reproduction.
At home, Camila has two dogs, a cat, and a bunny who keep her busy and bring her joy. Outside of work, she enjoys making jewelry, exercising, and traveling. She also has a deep interest in psychology and plans to advocate for mental health within the veterinary profession. Camila’s favorite thing about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is the amazing people and coworkers who make every day rewarding.

Taylor has been working in veterinary medicine for over two and a half years and has always had a lifelong love for animals. Her journey into the field began after moving to Texas, where she decided to pursue her passion as a veterinary assistant.
She finds fulfillment in caring for animals because they don’t have a voice of their own and takes pride in helping sick pets recover and thrive. Taylor especially enjoys connecting with clients, educating them about their pets’ care, and providing attentive support to hospitalized patients.
At home, Taylor has a sweet Lab mix named Argo who loves to snuggle. Outside of work, she enjoys decorating her home, crafting, and spending time with friends and family. Taylor loves being part of the Cedar Creek team because of the wonderful people she meets, her supportive coworkers, and the opportunities for both personal and professional growth.

Kathryn is a Veterinary Assistant at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in veterinary medicine for five years. She has always had a love for animals and knew from a young age that she wanted to work with them. In third grade, when a zookeeper visited her school, she eagerly pushed to be first in line to hold the animals, and that moment sparked her lifelong passion.
She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Program and enjoys seeing animals improve and feel better under her care. Kathryn finds fulfillment in knowing she plays a part in their healing and truly enjoys every aspect of animal care.
At home, Kathryn has a full house with her Boxer mix Steve, her Lab Otis, her Border Collie Tonka, and her cats Jo, Spooky, and Pudgy. Outside of work, she enjoys singing karaoke and playing video games. Kathryn loves working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital because the team is made up of the kindest, funniest, and most supportive people she has ever met, and they truly feel like family.

Abby is a Registered Veterinary Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital. She has worked in animal care for three years and, prior to entering veterinary medicine, she focused on shelter medicine. Abby always knew her calling centered around animals and developed a deep appreciation for the science behind their care. She holds an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology and is registered in the state of Kansas.
Abby enjoys advocating for the animals she cares for and takes pride in making a difference in their lives. Her professional interests include dentistry, blood draws, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia.
At home, Abby shares her life with a black Lab named Lula, a golden retriever mix named Dutch, two rescue cats named Goldfish and Odie, and Phoebe, a sweet tabby cat. Outside of work, she enjoys riding her horse Pippi, a thirteen-year-old Oldenburg mare who competes as a hunter and jumper. Abby also loves spending time reading and watching movies. Her favorite thing about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is how valued the technicians are and how much trust is placed in them to provide quality patient care.

Amber is the Lead Registered Veterinary Technician at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital. She has worked in veterinary medicine for around ten years, and her passion for helping animals has always been a part of who she is. She is certified in Fear Free Level II training, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Life Support.
Amber enjoys her daily interactions with patients, clients, and coworkers. She has a special interest in surgery, client education, and emergency and critical care.
At home, Amber lives with Remi, a nine-year-old Pittie mix who is a big baby and loves attention, and Pita, a five-year-old cat who adores the couch and long pet sessions. Outside of work, Amber’s two sons keep her entertained and very busy. Her favorite thing about working at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is the opportunity to connect with the wonderful owners and patients she sees each day.

Kayli is the Social Media and Marketing Manager at CCPH and has worked in veterinary medicine for two years. She has always had a big heart for animals and would take in every stray if she could. Kayli holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and loves using her communication and creative skills to build relationships with clients and highlight the amazing work being done at the clinic.
At home, Kayli has a Cockapoo named Moose and three cats, Bella, Stassi, and Bagel. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, exploring thrift stores, and laughing with friends. Her favorite thing about working at CCPH is the uplifting and supportive team environment and getting to cuddle pets every day.

Alicia joined Cedar Creek Pet Hospital in the spring of 2021 and took on the role of Practice Manager that fall. She is dedicated to ensuring the hospital runs smoothly and that every patient receives the highest quality care. Alicia’s favorite part of her job is building strong relationships with clients and their pets through reliable, compassionate service.
When she’s not at work, Alicia enjoys spending time with her daughter and caring for her pets. She has three dogs, Stella, Subie, and Pidge, and three cats, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, and Jet.

Ashley is the Office Manager at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital and has worked in veterinary medicine for one year. She has always been an animal lover and knew this was the field she was meant to be in. Ashley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resources and enjoys working alongside such an amazing team.
At home, Ashley has two dogs, Yadi, a super mutt with a big personality, and Salvy, a golden retriever who is a certified good boy. Outside of work, she loves staying active, working out, and spending time at home with her husband and pups. Ashley loves being part of Cedar Creek Pet Hospital because it truly feels like one big family.

Paige has been a part of CCPH since it opened in 2013 and is a versatile part of the team, with experience in every position. She is currently enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University, where she also earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2020. Paige’s favorite part of her job is finding solutions to challenges and continually learning and growing within the field.
Outside of work, Paige enjoys art projects and photographing her two Chihuahuas, Marcy and Morty, and her three Border Collies, Xan, Pepsi, and Bloo. Her greatest passion is caring for her sheep and spending time with her animals.

Dr. Marlo Showalter is a veterinarian at Cedar Creek Pet Hospital. She received both an Animal Science degree and doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. She can’t remember a time when caring for animals wasn’t part of her life. Growing up on a dairy farm in northeast Kansas, she gained her appreciation of veterinary medicine through watching, learning and assisting a local veterinarian. She admired a veterinarian’s connection with people, in the community, through the partnering of animal care and healing. These observations of commonality among people, who desire to have companion animals and provide them with good care, lead her to veterinary medicine.
She developed a passion to improve the human-animal bond by maintaining a healthy, happy pet to maximize the human’s enjoyment of their pet. Dr. Showalter hopes she has passed on her love of animals to her two awesome children, Paige and Peyton. Outside of work she enjoys training her dogs M and Caine. She also likes hiking and music.
Dr. Showalter is a member of AVMA, Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, and licensed in Kansas.

Dr. James Peterson is a general practitioner and the owner of Cedar Creek Pet Hospital. He has been caring for pets at the hospital since 2013. Dr. Peterson attended Kansas State University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and Industry in 1993. He went on to attend Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. After veterinary school, Dr. Peterson worked in a practice in New York for 2 years, before moving to Phoenix and practicing for 12 years. He then moved back to the Kansas City area to be near family and become the Chief-of-Staff at Banfield Olathe.
Dr. Peterson then built and opened Cedar Creek Pet Hospital in 2013. Dr. Peterson particularly enjoys working on challenging medicine cases, especially ears and skin. Surgery and dentistry are also among his professional interests. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association and the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association. Married to Marlo, Dr. Peterson is the proud father of two exceptional children, Paige and Peyton. The family also includes 4 Border Collies and a cat. When he’s not busy caring for pets at the hospital, Dr. Peterson enjoys a number of outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
